In 2013, Emily launched her own popular YouTube cooking show, “Gluten-Free With Emily”. Many gluten-free recipes and outfit changes later, Emily continues to collaborate with many well-known experts in the gluten-free and vegan community. Emily has appeared on multiple health and cooking-related podcasts, sharing her knowledge and expertise to the gluten-free community at large. As a private chef, healthy, plant-based meals are at the core of her cooking philosophy. Emily is well-versed in creating meals for individuals with food allergies or food sensitivities, celiac’s disease or any number of dietary restrictions. Emily helps her clients make the transition to a gluten-free or vegan diet an easy, stress-free and enjoyable process. In the past, Emily has taught cooking classes at Whole Foods Market in West L.A. and at Vegan Scene in Venice. She was also featured at JOi Cafe’s “Chef Series,” a monthly event held at the exciting new plant-based restaurant in Los Angeles. In cooking for her clients, Emily loves to create visually-appealing meals loaded with flavor and good-for-you ingredients. Emily spent her childhood in the kitchen, teaching herself how to cook, bake and design her own vegan creations. She spent her teen years “rebelling” against traditional baking recipes and experimented with ways to make vegan meals better-tasting and better for your body. At the age of 18, Emily even spent a year working on an organic farm, learning that the best foods really do come straight out of the ground. As a health and nutrition activist, Emily has spent 20 years teaching others about the best ways to adopt a gluten-free, vegan or vegetarian diet. Emily studied plant-based nutrition at the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics and has a broad and extensive knowledge of raw food cooking, western herbology, polarity, aromatherapy, flower essences, homeopathy, massage, and sports therapy. |
